Async Workflow Trigger

Based on the configuration options, I assumed that I set the desired time delay from an item creation or modification along with a view to gather on and after the set amount of time after a new item is either created or an existing item is modified, the workflow then fires. I set up a very basic Update List Item action and set the async to trigger 1 minute on the All Items view. After 2 minutes, I checked with no result. I checked the workflow history list but nothing showed, as if it hadn't fired at all.
What am I missing?

We had the same issue. Turns out we were missing a timer job in Central Admin called "Crow Canyon Workflow Manager Async Job For https://site collection url". We had to deactivate and activate the "Crow Canyon Workflow Manager" then it worked.
