Custom action on save button
Quote from Jay on June 28, 2023, 10:08 pmUPDATE: I've just been reliably informed by a colleague that a submit action (button) dragged onto an edit form will operate just like a save button rather than a submit. Will leave this Q/A here in case anyone comes with the same question
........
Is it possible to tie a custom action to the save button (as you can a submit button)?
I cannot see a way to do so.
Alternatively if I were to hide the save button and add a submit button to the edit form would the submit button act as a save button rather than submit the form as if it were being filled out for the first time?I am using different forms for new and edit.
I am trying to get away from the users having to click custom action buttons in the ribbon
