Passing control when using Invoke Workflow

When a workflow executes an Invoke Workflow action, does it wait for the action to complete and then resume, or do both workflows run in parallel once the other workflow is called?

Workflow execution will wait for the invoke workflow action to be completed and then will proceed to the next action.
